Water Cut

Water is produced during oil production, which indicates where the reservoir is on the production decline curve and how often water tanks need to be emptied. In some oil fields, quantity of produced water must be reported for regulatory reasons. The flow meter give the total flow rate, although the sample system gives the Water Cut. It is possible to measure the Water Cut (Net Oil) in two-phase separators using the CoVor Meter which helps determine oil in the water along with quality aspects.
